Diane is a qualified Speech and Language Therapist with extensive experience of working with clients who have progressive neurological conditions and/or complex brain injury. She has worked for various expert neurological centres, including the Royal Hospital for Neurodisability and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. Her work experience has included both inpatient and community rehabilitation.
Diane is highly specialised at assessing and treating clients with swallowing difficulties and communication problems. She has experience of Alternative Augmentative Communication and is able to recommend suitable communication aids. Diane currently works as a Major Trauma Rehabilitation Coordinator in an NHS Trust, an expert witness speech and language therapist for Somek & Associates and as an independent Speech and Language Therapist. She accepts private referrals through the Rehab Team. She is based in Scotland, but she is able to undertake remote assessment to clients if and when required.
Diane is a highly dedicated professional who is committed to maintaining and developing her clinical skills. She is a member of Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
